I have some… issues… and the had taken all of my motivation… so i don’y want to do this again this next week… oh well. I guess i’ll still do it, but… if not. Is because my issues (Catora needs time to finish a few thing, soo… ¿maybe? maybe not… Pray to your gods to make it a «no».)…

During the course of half a day, the group made it through the Old Shibuya District before the Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku•, who moved slowly to not to leave the elderly and children behind. The Monsters attacked them numerous times on their way there, yet they were nowhere near as dangerous as the Eaters•Kuijin-zoku•, and ended up being quickly eliminated by the Vanguard, Takako and Rex.

The clear blue sky quickly turned orange, and by the time the sun went down, everyone had already begun preparing for the time when the Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku• will arrive.

「We’re here! Everyone get ready!」

The place they arrived at was the place where the Old Great Tama River was previously located in Earth. The river was too narrow to be called a «great river,» but its waters were considerably deep and its stream was flowing rapidly.

NT: The Tama River is a large and important river that runs through Tokyo and its surroundings.

The Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku• Adults had no problem crossing the river, however, the olders, who had weak legs, and the youngers, who had not yet developed sufficient strength, had some difficulty in doing so. They are also installing an electrified net which will temporarily paralyze them in the river. As soon as they fall into our trap, the members of the Rear will launch a joint attack against them. We installed everything near the end of the bridge to make it easier for us to immediately escape to the underground facilities without worrying about being chased in case the plan fails」

Then Mary, holding her rifle in her hands, said.

「Since the Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku• are usually alert in the event of an ambush, they tend to react more alarmed than normal when caught unawares. If we manage to make them fall into our trap… then we should be able to easily get rid of them」

Krull couldn’t believe that a girl with a look as fierce as hers was only 14 years old. At that moment, when Krull looked at the gaze of Mary, who did not seem afraid, even when the battle was about to begin, she could feel that she had already taken a lot of lives with her own hands.

However, she did not feel any kind of vengeful spirit like Palna’s coming from her, but rather she felt the spirit of a warrior who was advancing relentlessly towards her objective. After understanding that, Krull thought that Mary’s past must be much more complex than she thought.

「He~y, here you go, Mary-chan」

At the same time that Mary secured her magic weapon to her waist, Yuki handed her the magic weapon that she had been checking up to that moment.

「As fast as ever」

Mary took her magic weapon and hung it on her back without even confirming that the maintenance was carried out correctly.

「It’s just that we don’t have much time, so I tried to do it quickly, besides, it seems like they have already finished installing the traps」

Yuki said as she pointed to the bridge, where the trap had already been set up. The members of Resistance, in addition to Takako and the others, who immediately after finishing the installation of the traps moved to the waiting point, could also be seen in the direction she was pointing to.

At the same time, Menou and Palna, who noticed Alice, ran straight at her, still looking tired after finishing their work.

「Menou, Palna, good job!」, said Alice as she greeted them with a big smile.

「It didn’t take too long. Menou was unusually motivated while helping everyone」

「Isn’t it natural to want to do everything possible to help others? Also, we are no longer in Earth Clear… We must do everything possible to survive」

Menou said with his arms crossed, acting as if what he had said was the most natural thing in the world. As she looked at Menou, Alice, with a strangely pained smile, muttered, 「Thank you」, in a particularly low voice.

 

 

 

 

 

After that, as planned, everyone gathered inside the camouflage barrier that had been deployed under the bridge, where they waited for the Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku• to arrive.

Then, an hour later, and with the sky now covered in dark clouds, the Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku•, seeming to have waited for the weather to get worse to make their move, appeared at the same time that it started to rain.
