NT: Honestly, i didn’t really thought too much about all this crap that happen to me. I mean, Catora usually deal with his fair amount of issues, so didn’t think too much about thi, but… it seems like this actually affected him a little too much, more than he thought at the beginning at least. I mean, Catora have been doing.. things… Acting on a stranger way and… that kind of stuff. Errrm, like… Catora have been skipping classes… i mean, i’m attending these «online classes» due the COVID thing, but, Catora have been just ignoring these saying to himself that he can just see the archives went he needs to and.. that kind of stuff among other thing. Damn, it seems like Catora’s teachers already started giving assignments, programing their test, etc… but i still don’t care… ah, but don’t worry, it is still something i can deal with, just… not the kind of thing that Catora would normally do… i guess that’s all for now… i will tell you more later, i guess…

「Don’t move so casually while a gun is pointed at you! And don’t close the door in my face!」

Shouted Mary as she reopened the entrance with her face flushed, however, Kagami didn’t seem the least bit worried about her arrival, and Pitta, who was standing next to him, was simply interested in nonchalantly eating the food she had received.

Mary, seeing that neither seemed concerned for her, gritted her teeth and pointed her magic weapon at Kagami.

「You talk too much, you must be very stupid if you’re thinking that I’m going to fail at this distance」

Mary, who understood that there was nothing she could do, finally let out a sigh as she lowered her weapon after hearing those words.

「Well, I think it’s normal to remember the names of the people you talk to frequently」

At that moment, Mary began to look at Kagami with eyes plagued with hatred that seemed to be seeing something of a different race than the inhabitants of Earth. Even though Mary seemed to have understood what Kagami had meant by this, she didn’t bother to say anything else.

For a moment, Kagami, who couldn’t understand who it was, was completely rigid, however, it did not take him long to realize the identity of the person who had appeared. Then, Kagami smiled after hearing Rex’s nostalgic and energetic response.

「Kagami-chan……. If you were thinking of going to see us, couldn’t you have done it in a less conspicuous way? Isn’t it bad that you were discovered by Mary-chan?」

「Certainly, I know it’s been a long time, but you should have thought things through better……. Seriously, you should have known that if Alice was after you, then we would follow. By the way, what had you been talking about with Menou and Tina……?」

Rex entered the tent and sat next to Menou, then Takako and Palna also came in and sat between Tina and Krull as they asked them to make a place for them.

Kagami started to feel uncomfortable at how tight everything was getting. The tent  he was using wasn’t a very large one, and if this one already felt full when Alice and the others entered, now that the rest joined them, it began to feel somewhat suffocating.

「Anyway, I’m surprised that you could find this place」

「Um, well, you really didn’t stand out too much with that hood you were wearing, but Alice-chan’s clothes and appearance are quite striking, so we had no problem finding out where she went after asking some people」

After hearing Takako’s explanation, Kagami turned to Alice, Krull, and Tina, who were sitting next to him.

Then, Kagami muttered, 「I see」, convinced, after taking into account that the hair color of the three of them must be quite striking for the people here.

「Wait a minute…… Pitta-san, why didn’t you tell me they were close?」

「I thought they were Daddy’s friends, like them……」

NT: Pitta add a «desu» at the end of her sentences (after the three dots). I considered adding it at the beginning, but this seems to be quite common in young children. They often add it to the end of their words in an attempt to speak in a more formal /adult way, but since they often forget it, it comes with a slight delay. Anyway, the thing is that it is not something that particular that make me feel that it needs to be added, although I should think about something to add in its place to show that childish way of speaking of Pitta.

The moment Kagami looked at Pitta, Pitta, who thought Kagami was angry with her for that mistake, showed a depressed look. Kagami, who didn’t like that, said, 「No, that’s fine, half of them are my friends, so you weren’t wrong, see?」, in an attempt to cheer her up.

Then, Tina, seeing that, said, 「Uwa~…… Lolicon」, at the same time as Alice puffed out her cheeks with an envious look.

「Kagami-chan, when did you become a Father?」 Takako said, in a mocking tone, with the intention of teasing Kagami.

「He~e…… I didn’t expect you to make a move on someone. I honestly thought you weren’t interested in that kind of thing」, Palna said, looking impressed by the situation.

「It is true! Kagami-san, you still hasn’t told us why that girl calls you «daddy»! Tell us now!」 shouted Krull, who seemed strangely interested in the subject.

「It’s enough!」

Shouted Mary, loud enough to drown out the voices of the others, plunging the tent into complete silence, as she pulled a small Digder from her waist. It was clear that she intended to inform her fellow Resistance members about that place and what was happening. There was no way she wasn’t trying to do something like that.

「Impossible, to think that you not only survived, but you are also the Ace of the Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku•, you, you…… Traitor of Humanity. Hey, you know…… do you know how many friends of mine have died because of you?」

「I don’t think the death of your friends…… were my fault」

Cried Mary as her back shook with remorse. At that moment, the tent fell into deep silence again.

「It’s not like they could have come back to life if I hadn’t intervened…… Isn’t it?」

「Even so! If you hadn’t intervened, we would at least have managed to complete our mission, even at the cost of their lives! If so, then their deaths would have at least made sense!」

If Kagami hadn’t gotten in their way, then they would have been able to inflict a considerable damage to the Beast’s Fangs•Kemono Kiba-zoku•. But due to his interference, Resistance turned out to be the only one who ended up taking some devastating damage. Although of course, depending on how the situation developed, Resistance could still have avoided casualties, even after that failure.

Of course, Kagami didn’t feel responsible for those deaths, however, even so, Kagami couldn’t help but close his eyes as he muttered, 「I see」, after seeing Mary’s sharp and furious gaze.
